Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant found in plants, animals, humans, fungi and even some bacteria. Glutathione is also called the “master antioxidant” because it is the main antioxidant in the human body. It’s mostly produced by the liver.
It does its job by emitting its electron and thus stopping the chain reaction of free radicals. This is also called oxidizing. Oxidized glutathione is ineffective and must be converted back to a reduced or active form. The ratio of oxidized to reduced glutathione also serves as a measure of oxidative stress in cells.
Jarorow Formulas contains only the highest quality reduced (active) glutathione.
