Nature’s Way activated charcoal<\/h2>\n

Activated charcoal or active carbon is used in health care for classical food poisoning. In order to be effective it must be ingested quickly after poisoning, at the latest within 1 hour. It does not work in the case of cyanide poisoning, corrosive substances, iron, lithium or alcohol.<\/p>\n

As a dietary supplement, activated charcoal may not be used against poisoning (for this visit the doctor), but it can be used to reduce flatulence and bloating after meals, because it binds toxins and gases created by bacteria in the gut when they ferment food you ate. For it to have an effect it is necessary to consume at least 1g of active charcoal 30 minutes before the meal and 1g immediately after the meal.<\/p>\n
