Now foods Devil’s Claw
The Devil’s claw or root of a devilish claw is the name of the root of the plant Harpogophytum procumbens, which grows in the Kalahari Savannah in South Africa, Madagascar and Namibian steppes.
As a supplement the dried roots are used. African and European healers have used it for centuries for a variety of purposes. Its useful ingredients are primarily iridoidni glucosides including Harpagosites. The Devil’s Claw also contains useful bioflavonoids and phytosterols.
Dr. Feil in the book Overcome arthrosis and joint pain
Dr. Feil mentions the Devil’s Claw in his therapy in the book Overcome arthrosis and joint Pain on page 52, where he also mentions that the Devil’s claw is necessary to ingest as a dietary supplement, since “Curd with spice” does not have enough effective ingredients for achieving physiological effect.
The Devil’s Claw is effective in combination with collagen, Boron and vitamin C.
