Pancreatin 10x contains a digestive enzyme complex, most similar to the ones that our own bodies produce. Plant enzymes are not the same as those humans produce and need and therefore are not equally effective. Enzymes must be suitable for the type of the digestive system and not so much similar to the food we eat.

It is a known fact that, over the years, the activity of the inner secretion glands is decreasing, which can lead to a variety of shortages. The inner glands also secrete digestive enzymes (pancreas).

What are digestive enzymes?

Digestive enzymes are common enzymes that break down the macromolecules to smaller pieces thereby helping to absorb them. They are located in the digestive tract of animals (including humans). Some digestive enzymes are also found in saliva.

Three main types of enzymes are known:

Proteases and peptidases that separate proteins into smaller peptides and breaks them into individual amino acids
Lipases, which separates the fat into three fatty acids and glycerol,
Amylases that separate complex carbohydrates (e.g. starch) to sugars.
