Resveratrol is an ingredient in wine that is associated with improved health and longer life. Resveratrol is probably best known for prolonging life and cardiovascular health but has also many other important traits.
Resveratrol is a bioflavonoid, which is found in red wine and is probably also its most beneficial ingredient. Grapes produce it to protect itself from toxins and is mostly concentrated in the skin.
In humans it is associated with defences against cardiovascular disease and insulin resistance, and as a bioflavonoid it also shares their classical properties such as reducing inflammation, protection against osteoporosis,improved fat burning and thus easier weight loss and lowering blood pressure.
Jarrow formulas Resveratrol contains an extract with at least 90% trans-resveratrol, which is the only effective form of resveratrol for the human body.

How to use
How do I use resveratrol?
Take 1 capsule daily with a meal.
Studies indicate effective doses between 150 and 500mg, with no concrete data on the optimal dose.
To increase blood flow to the brain, doses between 250 and 500 mg daily are required. To inhibit the aromatase enzyme (lowering oestrogens) 500mg daily is required.
Please note that only trans-resveratrol is effective in humans.

Resveratrol doesn't require any special storage method. We recommend that you store the product in a dry and dark place at room temperature.
