Nature’s Way Vitex
Vitex Agnus-castus or Chaste tree, is a tree of the Mediterranean area and is one of the few trees of the Vitex type that grows outside the tropical area. It’s been in use for millennia, and now we’re discovering it again. For a long time it was considered an aphrodisiac, but today it is mainly used to support menstrual issues and for preventing PMS (pre menstrual syndrome).
Vitex is a supplement obtained from agnus-castus tree berries. In multiple studies, Vitex has demonstrated effects that have reduced:
- hot flushes,
- bloating connected to menstruation,
- mood swings,
- sleep problems,
- depression,
- menstrual cramps.
Research suggests that it can regulate estrogen– especially when low but its main effect of working is similar to dopamine, which lowers prolactin levels, a hormone that is increased in PMS. It can also work by releasing beta-endrofins, which are generally low in pre-menstruation time.

How to use
How do I use Vitex extract?
Take 1 capsule, 2 to 3 times daily the first 8-12 days. Then continue taking 1 capsule per day. Vitex is best taken with breakfast.
